The Rose That Remains

Though cut, altered, and separated from its original wholeness, it refuses disappearance. Each broken curve carries memory; each gap holds space for what once was and what continues to be.

This sculpture speaks of resilience — of beauty that does not rely on perfection or continuity, but on presence. Even in division, the rose endures, redefining itself not as something lost, but as something transformed.

Circle of Becoming

Circle of Becoming captures the quiet yet powerful journey of inner transformation — each side holding its own emotional landscape.

Side One — The larger, inward-pulling spiral symbolizes the early stages of transformation: emotions layered, intense, and still taking shape. The experience of being drawn into one's own depths, held in a swirling moment of change where nothing is resolved, yet everything is awakening.

Side Two — The opposite side portrays the shift toward emotional clarity and self-mastery. The form opens and rises, expressing acceptance, integration, and a growing sense of balance. Here, the self emerges more centred, composed, and aware — shaped, but not defined, by the journey within.

Together, both sides embody the circle of becoming — the timeless movement from turbulence to understanding, from immersion to emergence, from who we were to who we are becoming.

Knight

"For my son, whose favourite piece on the chessboard is the knight — this piece defies limits and leaps over obstacles. A reminder to see life with the same clarity and intuition, choosing angles others overlook, to see things differently. The knight honours the depth of vision and the beautiful mind guiding every move."

Doorway to Dreams

This sculpture captures the magic of curiosity, the courage to explore. A young girl steps through the pages of a book, entering the limitless space of imagination and possibility.

It is a doorway to places we dare to dream.

Tides of Knowledge

These books are carrying us like a vessel across the ocean of learning, imagination, and discovery. Just like a ship guides us through the tides, knowledge helps us move forward — sometimes gently, sometimes with force — but always towards new horizons.

Infinity Within

A figure in quiet contemplation rests upon the infinity symbol, reminding us that the endless journey we search for outside already lives within us.

True eternity is not measured in time, but in the depth of our inner world — where stillness, reflection, and clarity become boundless.

Bookworm's Perch

Inspired by my daughter, who loves to read — I wanted to capture the way she disappears into her books, completely absorbed, completely at home. The figure sits snugly wrapped in a patchwork blanket, perched on an open book as if it were her own little world.

The patchwork blanket carries a piece of my own childhood — those colourful, handmade patterns symbolising comfort and safety. By bringing that blanket into the sculpture, I wove together two generations of joy: my daughter's love for reading and my own cherished memories.

The Centre Holds

Concentric forms spiral inward toward a quiet centre from which an organic bloom emerges. The work explores the relationship between stillness and growth, suggesting that transformation begins not on the surface but deep within.

The layered rings evoke cycles of experience, time, and self-discovery, while the flowering form symbolises resilience, renewal, and the beauty that can arise from life's pressures.

The piece invites the viewer to reflect on the strength found at one's core and the unfolding of authentic selfhood.

Sculptor & Artist

I have always been enamoured with sculptures, yet I never imagined I would one day shape something from scratch and watch it resonate with someone else as deeply as it did with me.

Each of my pieces carries a part of my life — feelings, emotions, and memories woven into form. I like to leave a fragment of myself in every creation, making each sculpture a quiet reflection of who I am and what I've lived.

Commissions

Each commissioned piece is shaped entirely around you — your story, your person, your meaning.

Written History

An open book serves as a metaphor for a story years in the making. Emerging from its pages are the symbols of a remarkable journey — a tennis racket, ball, and championship ring — representing the dedication, resilience, and collective spirit that led Quinnipiac University's men's tennis team to its first MAAC Championship in program history.

The ring stands not only as a symbol of victory, but as a testament to the countless hours of training, sacrifice, and unwavering belief shared by teammates and coaches. Resting upon the pages of the book, it marks the moment when ambition became achievement and a new chapter was forever written into the history of the program.

Created for Shaurya Sood, a member of that historic championship team, this sculpture celebrates more than a title. It honours the journey behind it — the unseen work, the commitment to excellence, and the power of a team united by a common goal. It reminds us that every lasting legacy is first written through perseverance, one page at a time.

Acknowledgements

Divya & Rajat

Thank you for being my constant source of love, strength, and encouragement. The impact you have had on my life is beyond anything I could ever put into words. You have believed in me, supported me, and gently pushed me forward at every stage — often long before I was ready to believe in myself.

Shirish

Thank you for sharing your journey so generously — for opening up your thoughts, your process, and a small piece of where it all began, at a time when I am just beginning my own path. Your encouragement, support, and the effort you put into bringing this together have meant more than I can say.

Anirudh

Thank you for remembering things about me that I had forgotten myself. Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with the creative part of who I am. Our conversation brought back old memories and, more importantly, a quiet realisation that I've been missing something essential. Not many people can hold a mirror to a version of you that existed years ago.
